Went for lunch with my wife and her coworkers. No waiting, seated quickly. Server was with us as soon as we sat down. Drinks, appetizers and main meal came promptly. Menu had numerous choices, should be something for everybody. I got red pepper soup, onion rings, and a roast beef sandwich with au jus. It was all excellent. My table-mates got burgers or chicken salad and French onion soup. Everyone enjoyed their meal. Definite do-againer!

Great little Cafe. The food was good and the staff was very friendly and helpful. They answered all of my questions and made menu suggestions. I had the hummus appetizer. It was creamy with a nice mild flavor. Great starter. I had the soup and sandwich lunch. The roasted red pepper soup was fantastic. The turkey and Swiss sandwich was good but don't overlook the chicken salad.

Coming here never disappoints. Love the fresh bread, love the chocolate cake. The chocolate cake tastes like the bottom of a tux cake. It's honestly one of the best chocolate ganache I've had. Not too sweet, chocolate isn't too bitter, Creamy. 100% recommended you try this cake if you're ever in town.

That was the best lunch in dothan for sandwiches. I had the onion soup and a 1/2 chicken salad sandwich. The soup was awesome. Not over salted like most around here and the bread was perfect with a bomb chik sal!!! The service was friendly and very on top of things. This is a hidden gem for the dothan culinary scene... great raspberry tea.

I stopped by here yesterday mid-afternoon to try this place out. I didn't even realize it was here until noticing the signage. However, I went inside and the atmosphere is very calm and very quiet, very tranquil place. It was pretty busy when I was there but it was also closer to closing time. The waitress was incredibly friendly and polite and apologize several times to me about the weight, but there was no way I only had to wait a few minutes and my food came out quickly. It was also incredibly delicious, I hope the next time try some over there pastries but for this visit i just had a club sandwich, and to be honest I was a little skeptical after seeing the bun on it, but holy smokes. Smokes the bread on this club sandwich was so amazing, I've never had one quite like it, it's not quite a traditional club but it's pretty close. With some kind of dip, both were absolutely amazing and I would highly recommend. And I don't even like sweet potato fries but these were really good.

This was the best cafe I’ve ever been to, legitimately. Onika was the best server a girl could ask for and she helped me pick out a coffee and gave me great recommendations! I’d include a picture of the delicious food but it’s currently already in my stomach… but please go try this place! I will definitely be coming back. <3 (if you go for breakfast, I HIGHLY recommend the Artisan Bagel and ADD TOMATOES!!! DELICIOUS!)

This was our first time at River Nile Cafe, and it was delicious! The best Chicken Salad sandwich I've had so far 🥪😋 the avocado and greens were so fresh, and the bread was soft but thick. The soup of the day was a tomato soup 🍅🥣 it was so creamy and flavorful. I couldn't help but get a side of the steak fries, so crispy and perfectly seasoned. For dessert, we chose to get a creme brulee cheesecake 🍮 so creamy and soft. The service was excellent, and our waitress was very sweet. I would definitely recommend trying this place!

Outstanding food and service! Their soups, salads, and sandwiches are their strong suit, so maybe skip the burger (it’s not bad) but this place is your “go to” for a great Greek salad, crawfish etoufee or a homemade chicken salad sandwich.

My family and I thoroughly enjoyed our experience here from my server, croissant, coffee and beignets! The atmosphere is somewhere I would want my family to frequent often. Can’t wait to visit again… tomorrow lol. Thanks Nile River! Btw, I never leave reviews! I had to this time.

What a wonderful experience! So many great things to say. The atmosphere is pleasant. Faith based music playing softly and faith based sayings posted all around. Very peaceful and encouraging. Our server was very attentive and nice. The owner, Katie, came by our table a few times to thank us, chat, and make sure we were enjoying our food. The food is delicious. The bread is thick, favorable and soft. The chicken salad is amazing. You get plenty of it. They have a sign when you enter that shows 10 places in Alabama you need to eat at before you die. They were on the list for their roasted red pepper soup. I totally agree. It's quite unique and awesome! Even their onion rings are elevated because of the dipping sauce. A smoked jelly that paired so well. The cookies, cheesecake and everything we ate was a step above the normal cafe foods. It's well worth the drive from miles away. FYI, they close at 4:00. Breakfast, lunch and a coffee shop extraordinaire. Several to go orders were picked up while we werethere. It's a popular place.
